  • awesome instrument. I'm thinking of buying this sort of guitar or new nylon string i cant choose which

  • @guitarismysword1 Well, this is a nice instrument, but you must have in mind that it's not as "flexible" as a classical guitar. It depends on the kind of music you are willing to play. The neck is narrower and the string action is kinda higher than you'd find on regular guitars. I really like playing medieval / renaissance music, so this german instrument fits my needs. By the way, it can be tuned as a normal guitar, but I always use a lute tuning, wich fits this style better.

  • do you use normal guitar strings?

  • @guitarismysword1 Yes, regular nylon strings will fit nicely. But since it's a quite old and delicate instrument I always use low tension strings, because a higher tension would pull the bridge too hard.

  • This is just delightful!! Nice piece and lovely playing - I like it!!

  • @385aloiv Thanks, Marjorie!

I'm glad you enjoyed my playing. This piece was written circa 1600 and I really like it.
