@koehlerbear1989 I transport my cat to the vet in a cage... in a car. She relaxes and sleeps. The cage if anything makes them feel safer.

OMG poor cat wtf is wrong with you that is animal abuse I bet the cat peed in the car somewhere I felt terrible when taking my cat to the vet she peed all over the dashboard and into the air vents smelt like cat piss for months. Don't put cat's in a car unless completely necessary I say it is animal abuse!

Oh my god, you all are so stupid. Most cats hate car rides, they are sensitive to motion and this behavior is normal. Being confined in a cage would only cause more anxiety as experienced with my own siamese cat. the owner is obviously just trying to make the cat feel more comfortable by holding it. My cat was like this in the car for a while but I stopped confining him in a carrier and now he quietly sits on my shoulder while i drive. He even purrs. There are worse things people do to cats.
