Steven Howard Missing since 4/28 Rockingham NC REWARD!!

He was last seen on Haw Road in Reidsville near the Haw River.

Steven Wayne Howard, 22, of 1515 S. Mebane St., Burlington, was reported missing at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, according to a news release. Howard was last seen late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning when a friend he was with parked the car they were in and walked a short way to his home.

Howard is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a tan shirt and blue jeans. He has short, brown hair and was clean-shaven when he was reported missing, his stepmother Pam Brown Howard said Tuesday. He has tattoos of stars on his chest, a tattoo of a dragon on his back and other tattoos on his arms.

Steven Howard spent Wednesday evening visiting friends and driving around Rockingham County with Josh McLamb. Steven Howard was intoxicated that night and didn't want to drive his vehicle. He called his girlfriend, Lindsey VanWeest, to take him home.

McLamb drove Steven Howard back to an area near his home on Haw Road and parked, where they waited about 45 minutes for VanWeest to arrive. McLamb left the car with Steven Howard inside and walked about a quarter mile away to his home.

Pam Brown Howard said Tuesday that VanWeest was lost and called Steven Howard several times trying to find the car but she never did.

Steven Howard hasn't been seen since. The family reported him missing when he didn't return home Thursday.

He was found dead. It is very sad. Because he had court appearances, they thought he had just left running...and didn't search for him. Don't let the media and what they say change how you feel about things. This is the second kid they've said that about, didn't search for, and was found dead. Don't let it happen again...

@ranchgoddess I was a good friend with steven. I was hanging out with him the weekend before he went missing. His roomate is a life long friend and was pretty messed up about this. I hope his family is doing the best with this loss. The police made a shitty effort because he was found less than a mile away in a pond. He will forever be remembered and the people who did this better come forward because when his friends and family find out it will be a bad day for him.
