We had a storm like that in our town in January, 1998. In some places, it was nearly a week before electricity was restored and, in a few more outlying areas, longer than that. We were only without for 4 days. It wasn't that bad, though the cat was not happy, walking around picking her paws up off the floor with every step. :)
