E-flite has just introduced another in the series of small 250 ARF size WWI era warbirds to complement the current Jenny JN-4, S.E.5a and Nieuport 17. The new Fokker DVII is an airplane that all long-time RC modelers will recognize immediately. The ARF warbirds have been popular models, especially during the winter indoor flying sessions all around the country. Even though they are bi-plane models, they are very easy to assemble. Yes, I said you have to assemble them, but it is fun and only takes a couple evenings to finish these models. The new Fokker uses the same typical motor, ESC, radio and battery components that the other three models incorporate. You will see some intricate details that lend a lot to the scale-look of this airplane. It also has a very attractive color scheme that represents Ernst Udets original Fokker. John Redman, well known E-flite product designer, is excited about his newest model, the Fokker DVII 250 ARF, and he will walk us through all of the features of this new airplane.

Watch our video preview and see the features that John has incorporated into this easy-to-build WWI warbird. I think you will be adding another one to your fleet.

  • I was hoping to see it flying at the end of the Preview. Oh well.

  • Previews are just that. Generally the samples used in the videos are one of the few in existence and we can't risk damaging them. The Review will have flying footage.

  • wow great review! i'm glad I discovered your channel :)

  • @daveyedgar Davey, please sign up as a subscriber to HorizonRCdotcom and you will get immediate notice of each new video we post. Also watch Horizon Hobby on FaceBook for the latest information about models and videos.

  • Your reviews are very well done (your products aswell), I would like to see some comments and videos of flights too, how does it fly indoor and outdoor with maybe some sugestions for better flying... in the same video review.

one more comment, can you consider a fpv friendly version of your future scale airplane? you just need to make it easier to balance it when we add the pan&tilt and camera on pilot's position. So far many models have no space in front of cg to make balance easier.

    Thanks

  • Flying video coming ver soon

  • @HorizonRCdotCom Hey john whats up..i used to work with you in the Airforce at Holloman AFB..so you are working for Eflite now..Wow has the hobby changed since 1996..

  • awesome thanks man!

  • Shame they dont do a bigger version of the 4 WW1 RC planes for the more outside flying rather than inside, If you do, do one make sure its a BNF! lol

  • Too Much Talking & People, Not Enough Airplane

  • You should build the fokker dr.I triplane.

  • Being the designer of the model, you might suspect that he knew how to pronounce the word Fokker properly and that the aeroplane did not employ interplane bracing wires nor wing dihedral either.

  • A Fokker DR1 would be cool, or a sopwith camel. Nice DVII!

  • Yeah, I hear the T-28 flies really nice too. Good Luck!

  • ROLLING FOR THE DR.1

  • they should make a micro corsair
