Washington: Medical marijuana bill awaits governor´s signature

The Washington State Senate has passed a bill expanding who can authorize the usage of medical marijuana. That bill now awaits Governor Gregoire's signature to make it a law.

I agree, though a hypocritical law system is not an argument for the legalization of Marijuana. But unlike tobacco/nicotine and alcohol, marijuana actually have a positive effect on health.

This is so ridiculous. Just legalize, regulate, tax and properly educate people. Cannabis is safe and effective. It's the ultimate hypocrisy that alcohol and tobacco are legal while cannabis and hemp are not. Hemp alone could save many farmers from demise, not to mention create a ton of jobs. To stereotype this issue is immature, naive and frankly, stupid. Americans need to wake up and smell the truth!
