SPOILER ALERT
Presumably you're here because you've played FFXIII and have an interest in the music from the game. But just as a disclaimer, this video contains some major spoilers in the game. With XIII-2 news/media trickling out and the hype over the franchise picking up again, if you haven't played the game yet, you should do so right away - it's a good time to do it.

(p.s. if you haven't finished FFXIII yet you probably either hate the game and don't care about getting spoiled, or intend to finish it but haven't yet, in which case you deserve to get spoiled. So there)

===========================
Sunleth Soundscape is a remix of The Sunleth Waterscape, which is in turn a 'remix' (it's part of the OST) of Final Fantasy XIII's main theme. I originally did this remix almost exactly 12 months ago, and am taking a second shot at it, basically utilizing every trick I've learnt over this one year to compare how my production and engineering has evolved. This is a project I also had to undertake for personal reasons.

The project itself a bit of a hybrid of everything:
- It's a piece of music that supports some video footage. It's some video footage that supports a piece of music.
- It's a combination of cutscenes from the game along with real footage, making this a hybrid music video/documentary
- It's a combination of electronic and real instruments (... what isn't, nowadays?)
- The music part of this was done on both Mac and PC. While that might not seem to be much of a big thing, people who know me would know I absolutely detest Macs, so I personally found this bit quite funny.

In any case, kick back, and enjoy the ride.

  • Dammit!

    The Soundcloud offer is over...

    *sigh*

    You know, I really wanted to download a nice, 320kbps file of this.

  • @nisbahmumtaz909 I just enabled downloads for this and updated the description.

  • can u do the same remix for the ff13-2 Sunleth Waterscape theme

  • @mrlk13141 I just heard it. Wow. I'll be honest - I felt that the original Sunleth Waterscape felt really... empty, as if Hamauzu had to rush it (and that's not his fault, game composers usually get that kind of deadlines) which led to the remix. I think XIII-2's Sunleth Waterscape stands really well on its own. We'll see though. Definitely not until after I actually play the game anyway. :P
