Hello Im searching a Lap steel in my country (Mexico City) I only find this Steel guitar, like yours, I think is the same, it sounds like country music but Im searching the Lap steel for hawaiian music I think the pickup is different, so the sound too. Im looking for the sound of Santo & Johnny. The traditional hawaiian steel guitar sound, also like Harry Kalapana or Jack De Mello. Do you know wich model of recording king is this sound?I'll be gratefull with your help me claudiohuesca@gmail.com

I just bought the same model...wich tuning r you using? i think that the main problem in learning lap steel is that you don't know wich tuning works better for the style you want to play

@AlbertoSteriofficial Hi, I use an open D (DADF#AD), a good one for blues though you can play many different styles with as ben harper does it. Open G is good for the Hawaiian style but not only. Just try different tunning and play, you'll see what you prefer.

@dcey57 Oui ça sonne bien pour le prix. En clean c'est pas trop ça mais avec des effets c'est sympa. En même temps pour le prix faut pas être trop exigent. T'inquiète, avec la pratique et l'envie, le talent viendra ;-) Jolie cole clark au passage. Une guitare qui me tente beaucoup !
