In this episode of the Forge we had an awesome lineup.
Mel Aclaro (www.melaclaro.com), a professional screencaster, giving his tips for making great screencasts. Dan Nunez, a part-time job enthusiast, bearded guy, and screencast camp attendee giving his 10 commandments of screencasting.

7:40 - Poor man's lighting - take advantage of natural lighting.
7:50 - One point in your 3 points of lighting can be a window
8:00 - C: Camera - many camera's available. Get one that you will be most likely to use (maybe even your iPhone)
9:20 - If you buy a camera make sure it has an audio port and a place to connect to tri-pod, lcd screen that flips around so you can check framing is important.
10:17 - E: Editing Software. Be able to edit helps with fixing some of the inconsistencies.
10:48 - If you use a software tool, get to know it.
11:35 - Screencast software - like to include camera video in a screencast.
12:50 - Give yourself some room you can edit, to have flexibility - but you don't have to edit anything.
13:15 - Blogs are great if you're just starting, so you can experiment with Screencasting
13:30 - Categorize screencasts that work on your blog, and create a portfolio to present to customers and clients.
14:14 - Last tips?
14:20 - Take the pressure off yourself - you don't have to do it perfect all the time, script or outline yourself before you make your video.
