So heres the most recent walk around of my 98 Z28. The paint has been shined up and the car has come a long way since I bought her a year ago.
The original LS1 sucked up some water, which caused it it throw a rod and any water damage should have been covered under my insurance. Even though rust and water was found in the engine State Farm still denied the claim saying, it did not appear to be water damage. So I found a shop out in Arlington, TX, Affordable Autoworks where they sold and installed an LS1 out of a 99 C5 for a very good price. For the record, State Farm insurance will screw ya.
It rained, (the one night I left it outside) water rolled down the windshield and dripped on top of the intake manifold, from there it got into the #8 cylinder port through a bad injector seal. When I went to start it the next morning I went to start it, then boom! bye bye stock motor.
