His darbuka sounds awesome...im a beginer what kind is that..im starting out on a schalloch 8" aluminum turkish style darbuka

I have been playing guitar forever and I wanted a hand drum to add flavor to my recordings....im a huge deadhead and a HUGE reggae freak and I love to watch and listen to drum circles so I bought a 8" schalloch alluminum darbuka and will come in mail...was this a good investment???

@allstarswag Hopefully by now you've made a choice :-) but I'd say use what ever finger(s), (and even drum position!), works best for you. If you are getting the sounds you want and you aren't hurting your hands, then you are doing nothing wrong in my book!

or maybe get bongos?
