I feel like this was a very good balancing opinion, and very important when balancing out a short summary like this, that emphasizes "intuition" as though it's consistently accurate.

Why do you have to say "so" so (unintended pun) much?!

@hundredsofbears I like how you responded to Blabkberryjuice1. I have read the book and I agree with what you said.

i read that book too, but not finish yet. By the way, can i speed dating you?

Thin-slicing a.k.a. being a prejudiced bigot.

That was a wonderful presentation, Margarita! I'd never heard of thin-slicing before but had heard of speed dating. They had it in Cardiff but I didn't fancy it! I'd have failed the tests too because I'm hopeless with science.

@blabkberryjuice1, did you bother reading the book? I'm guessing you did not. It's not about race, or anything that would make a person a bigot. It's about perception, and the vast amount of information a person collects in extremely small amounts of time...it is about snap decisions. One of the examples given in the book is what can be learned from facial expressions that last less than a second... our brains collect and use this information, but it happens on a sud-conscious level.
