  • i just got my 97 monte z34 on the road... got it up to 170kph stock everything

  • @KillTheEmperor17 Yeah It will go to 170 kph then the computer will kick in and shut off fuel to two cylinders and restrict you to 170 kph. I've had mine to about 235 kph maxed out and I have my comp tuned.

  • Nice video. Have you been doing anything else to your Monte lately Buchanan?

  • Unfortunatly I haven't really done anything else. I'm waiting to get a Chevy Silverado before modding anything else to the Monte.

  • @BuchananZ34 my monte would hit 200kph with the limiter, and would hit 240 without..

  • @BuchananZ34 fuel cutoff is at 190 man.. about 4K in 4th gear.

  • i had one it feel apart every other time i took it out stock. so i sold it bought a 96 with the 3.4 dohc same stuff happend transmission went out at 89,000 the 96 i bought had a rebuild and feel apart 30,000 after the rebuild sold them both and bought a real make

  • Thats just weak, anyone can make the supercharged engine fast, its almost ricey!!! thats why I really don't like the L67, its just a 3.8 supercharged, theres nothing special.....

  • my friend has a 95 cutlass with that 3.4 he blew a head gasket and swapped it out with a 3.8 s/c gtp motor. his best time was a 13.8 but that was when the trans was fucked up. videos will come

  • I've had my monte up to 230kmh / 130mph and that was almost at the 6000 rpm mark in 4th. I think thats all you will get out of a pretty much stock 3800.

  • Yep, I've had to have it rebuilt once around 260000km because it was doing long and hard shifts. The trans in these cars can hold up for a while when it is stock but you start adding mods the tranny will give up very fast.
