after the death of Trane Joe became my favorite sax player. Before then, I always thought that he was too straight up and down with no real feeling but after hearing African Queen, Passion Dance and Sidewinder I fell in love with his intelligent and articulate phrasing as well as his soulful wailing. He was a helluva sax player. A little man with a big sound. R.I.P.
