Discussion of the universal law of gravity with a demonstration of heavy and light balls falling with the same acceleration due to gravity. A baseball and a ping pong ball are dropped at the same time from a ladder. Similar to the Leaning Tower of Pisa experiment of Galileo

  • Young viewer ikiligoglu is confused about the level of this seemingly simple demonstration, and well he might be. Simple enough to the modern eye, this demonstration gave Galileo a great deal of trouble only a few hundred years ago. Never assume that college freshmen have lost what 13 year olds hold dear. The same things that confuse 13 year olds also confuse college freshmen. This is indeed a university classroom, but note that this simple demonstration was well received by the class.

  • This class size makes this look like university, but the subject is for 13 year olds. I'm confused.
