ANGEL AND LIGHT PARADE 2011- ILIGAN CITY

Who in Iligan City would think that the pouring rain would put off the ANGEL and LIGHT PARADE ? In spite of the wet weather, lines of lavishly decorated floats advanced their way down city streets carrying children dressed in their gorgeous angel costumes. As the floats passed my way I couldn't help but notice the sweet smiles and waving hands of those little angels. Although drenched by the rain, there was not one child crying or whining. Thousands of spectators lined the sides of the roads, paying no attention to the wet weather but simply engrossed in viewing each of the spectacular floats that passed in front of them, mesmerized by the sparkling colorful lights and angelic children .
This year's parade gave fresh meaning to the saying 'the show must go on". Despite the heavy downpour, the Angel and Light Parade in Iligan City on September 19, 2011 was indeed a great success.
