  • I used 2 have the 1990s Waterdeep map(did it come in the Volo's Guide To Waterdeep?). my favorite Forgotten Realms story is the Avatar Trilogy because the god's lose their powers &have 2 "earn" them again. 4 a sense of "security," some mortals side with Avatars who r more corrupt than b4 the gods became Avatars, complexing life even more. The last book in the trilogy is called Waterdeep. Kelemvor & Midnight r my favorite characters in the trilogy. I think Kelemvor & Midnight fall in love.

  • @goohber1 A very cool setting with a rich story. Thanks for watching!

  • Hmm, somehow I missed this vid when it first came out. Thanks for the review. I've been thinking of doing an urban-based adventure. I really like the style of those City of Splendor maps with the overhead realistic view and then the detailed insides.

  • @pridday88 So much fun waiting to be had there. My Waterdeep campaign began with a cryptic handout disguised as a poem of sorts. Inside it mentioned various Waterdeep locations the adventurers had to go to, but they didn't sound like Waterdeep locations, for example, one line mentioned "...deep within the Bowels of the Earth..." It happens to be a tavern with an entrance to the Underdark. A fruit vendor overheard the adventurers reading that line in the streets and said he sure was thirsty.

  • That does look like an awesome map. :) I'm a bit of a map fiend also. I have a couple of the Pathfinder map packs, and I don't yet play Pathfinder, I just wanted the maps. XD Mainly because I'm sure they will come in use sometime.

  • @NorthernFox I really like the Pathfinder system and support resources like their map packs as well. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

  • @TowerGuardDM Wow, didn't mean to post 4 times on that last post. I haven't played in or run any of their modules (not big on modules) but I have a load of FR books & greatly enjoy running the Realms. This is the second campaign I've run in that setting, I've also played several set there. My current game is set mostly in Baldur's Gate & Crimmor, Amn.

  • @woodwwad Love the Sword Coast area! When I first began I ran the Under Illefarn module that took place in the Daggerford area. Volo guides are great sources of inspiration. While there are many great settings out there, FR will always have that extra special place on my shelf. Thank you Ed Greenwood! Glad you liked the video. I need to work on the shaking I think, hehe.

  • @TowerGuardDM Everyones got there own views on stuff they buy, guess thats yours

  • @TowerGuardDM I hope they stay in the confines of the city for you, hehe.
