The pale office of our president will probably still remain on forever. The historical monarchy will not be restored. The politicians, especially the Social Democrats (Sozis) and the press will know how to prevent it thoroughly. They will speak the monarchy always bad and keep out of our heads. The Germans are too stupid and deluded, they think that they will be suppressed again.

@KingKuno7 Please reflect that monarchies are the very expression of what is historical and cultural about a country. Politicians come and go, but monarchs are (usually, at any rate) part of the history of the country through the royal family. Look at Denmark, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, Japan, etc. The Hohenzollerns are part of Germany's history, mainly through Prussia, certainly, but also in the brief 2nd Reich. A monarch of a reigning family is like a flag: an emblem !

@largeFritz Why not Georg Friedrich I. It's a distinct form. There were Friedrich Wilhelms, and Spain has Juan Carlos.

@fantasielosestername Warum nicht Sein Majestaet Koenig Georg Friedrich I ?

@KingKuno7 The return of German monarchy as a constitutional and democratic institution serving as a non-political Head of State would be a good step forward in the realizing of DeGaulle correct analysis of Europe as the Europe of the Fatherlands that would have a great deal of unity, but they would preserve their individuality. A monarchy proclaims its nationality. Politicians, however, are the same everywhere.

Very good to see the Hohenzollerns getting some publicity. Hopefully, the pale office of President of the Republic as Head of State (now headed by old political partisans) will become renewed with the restoration of the historical monarchy, a non-political position that symbolizes the non-political unity of the German People historically and culturally, as is done in neighboring democratic monarchies like Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Sweden, among others.

Land lebe unser Kaiserpaar!
