Compared to the first 2 DKC games, the first one is like REALLY easy. I've beaten DKC so many times. DKC2, however, is probably the hardest DKC game I've ever played >.<

if you go to the left of the screen before turning into the bird and jump you can get up to 3 tokens. it's some sort of weird glitch.

Oddly, if his spouse the Queen B from the first game is the one that lays the egg then how come the King Zing is the one hanging around the hives securing the offspring? He seems more responsible of a parent than the queen!
