This is just one example of a container that can be used underground for food or supply storage.

  • I wish you folks lived near me so we could join forces. saw show last nite lots of glass jars no restraints to keep them on shelves. you should keep that in mind. earthquake or close bomb things tend to shake off shelves/ glass breaks hell of a bummmer. make sure shelves are secure and glass cant get off em. JJJJJJJJJJJ

  • @conversebabe4evr That is a great point, I will have to work on it.

  • just out of curiosity, once you seal it, how do you plan to open it, short of cutting it open with a saw? (not being a hater, I actually want to know) I ask because if your getting at the cache, it's probably urgently needed, and this looks like it will take forever to dig out and cut open.

  • @Tradekraft Propane torch attached to a bottle was my 1st option. the second would be to use a box cutter on the silicone. It would be a pain in the butt to cut through the plastic weld, but the silicone should pry away or just cut right out.

  • also if you See a highway construction project in your area just go ask some one if you can get some scrap HDPE 8-12" and im sure they ill have some around you can have

  • @zenmasterofslack Good ideal!

  • short sections like what you have there. Those are generally throw away items unless the company wants to save them for future repair material. Contact any field tile installation company or tile supplier and you can get them for free. Connection pieces are never free.

  • that is underground field drainage tile. The tile in the video is a dual walled version. The most common is single walled. They are intended to accept ground water and allow it to run off. The barbed pressed on connections are definitely not water or air tight. They do make field tile tape that is basically triple wide electrical tape with glue that will stay stuck underwater and when frozen. When field tile is installed it comes in thousand foot rolls. They roll it up on short sections

  • @ImRamro Thanks

  • they sell a plastic welder pretty cheap at horbour freight
