  • Great chart. I had the pleasure of hearing and meeting Mr. Burrell in Chicago twenty years ago. He'll never remember me, but I'll never forget him. I put down my drumsticks and picked up an archtop guitar. Never looked back, either. Just in from my gig tonight - last tune was Warm Valley, the Ellington standard so beautifully arranged by KB. Nobody will ever mistake me for him, but thanks for the inspiration, Mr. B. I couldn't have done it without you...

  • This is one cool composiion.

    Blues wrapped around jazz.

    An unusual and hip composition.

Oh yeah and delicious guitar playing

  • @guitarsurfer2010 soul music

  • thank you for sharing

  • Yet you won't see Kenny in a Rolling Stone Best Guitarists list, nor Farlow, Kessel, Montgomery, Lowe, Smith - I could go on - yet these are simply the best there ever were (don't overlook Segovia, Bream) but the responders to RS polls are no-nothings without a clue about guitar players. Recently someone who can't find his own ass so he had to stick his head up someone else's posted that Ted Nugent is a better guitarist than Joe Pass!?!? KB, you keep on going; you're just one true, blue genius.

  • @hoboboxerjoe you're one of those youths with no friends

  • One of the best guitarist. Saw him at Yoshi's Oakland celebrating how 86th BD a few months back. Still has those licks. A very gracious gentleman.

  • Amazing musician - an even more amazing teacher. Great man.

  • very nice!
