@Monnez1 dante and vergil are both awsome. if vergil won vergil won, if dante won dante won simple but to me in DMC1 and DMC3 their evenly match i know it and you know and why because both are badasses. main character or not dante won fare and square. same with the first fight, vergil won but dante came back own vergil.

@Monnez1 Bullshit, i don't like nero, vergil is a powerhouse with hand to hand combat in DMC3 and dante is better swords man than both vergil and nero, also dante and vergil have more weapon than nero+ dante is more powerful than nero.

@jake63847 I'm not trying to start an argument. But the main reason why he won is because he is the main character. If you ever watched any anime shows. You know that the main character usually survives or beats any villian he or she encounters. If this was a straight up fight we both know Vergil would win. This isn't fanboyism this is just a combination of facts and opinion. Nobody has any idea what Rebellion even does. To a degree Capcom made it just a hunk of demonic metal.

@jake63847 Dante has versatility but vergil and nero are just powerhouses.
Vergil has Yamato and the Force Edge. Nero has his arm and Yamato. Hear me out on this one. Dante isn't exactly too powerful in any of his disciplines. Vergil has less moves but sooo much more power per hit. He's also better because he's the older brother. Since I am an older brother myself I see eye to eye with vergil. Although I am honestly a little bit like both. I am a smart-ass and sarcastic yet cold also.

@Monnez1 no dante is a better fighting character in DMC3 and DMC4, vergil is the second best fighting character......ah what the hell both are the best fighting characters in Devil May Cry history.

@dmosley229 Kinda've a shame that you couldn't use him in DMC4. I would've liked to use Force Edge and Yamato. Even though I haven't played DMC3. I've seen Lp's of that game and Vergil is MUCH better than Dante as a fighting character.

I'm starting to think Vergil cutting Dante's hand as he is falling is a show of love and respect because Vergil knows he probably won't ever see his little brother again.............well at least until Devil May Cry 1 that is
