  • your confused

  • @bluesette82 no question remains, u hav just comfused yur self...

  • @BlindedByEvil Yeah, but the question still remains, why do people start obeying? I don't know, everyone seems to feel it's a bad thing that God controls everything and everyone. I personally find it to be probably the most comforting and beautiful notions that my brain has ever stumbled upon. He is totally sovereign. No one's going to lose their salvation because I got up on the wrong side of the bed one morning or something.

  • @bluesette82 yep very good, but why then do u use the word control when it is clearly obeying?

  • @BlindedByEvil Jer. 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil.

Truth is, my friend, that if we had the capability to change our sinful nature, we'd have no need for the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. Many religions teach that we are able to change ourselves, that we can earn our salvation by becoming purer, becoming enlightened. Christianity teaches grace only.

  • @BlindedByEvil I'm with you 100% on the evil heart thing. That's why Philippians 2:13 rings so true, "For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose." Also, take a look at: Ephesians 1:4-5, "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will."

  • @bluesette82 all hearts r evil,for wht to do

Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.6 In all thy ways acknowledge him,and he shall direct thy paths.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes:fear the LORD,and depart from evil

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all, things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

    10. I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

  • @bluesette82 no u hav to change yur self for god tells you how u should live yur life, John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever, heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. This is towards the end of the sermon on the mount. So where does it say we are controled by god?? you can choose what ever way u want to go........

  • @peoplearemessedup Gotchya. Sorry for dragging you down. Bye.

  • @bluesette82 dude can we just stop this conversation srry but It's kinda dragging on anyway I think the world has more truth then any book. Everything I can sense seems to have some purpose that can be found through a scientific mindset. Perhaps I could accept Christianity if it did not differ so much and was so muddled with uncertainty.

May Peace be in your heart to me means may you think beyond instinct and consider compassion as compassion is ultimately greater then love. as love may blind.
