  • For the develope' what else does the man need to do besides the hold so the lady knows to do a develope' instead of continuing with the parallel steps?

I tried this a few times with different ladies and it did not work. They are not beginners and I am sure they know about develope'. The truble is when I did the hold, the lady just continued with parallel steps and did not do the develope'. There must be additional signal I need to give so she knows it is time to do a develope'. Thanks.

  • First, make sure you don't bring your feet together on count two. Just stay in the forward step throughout counts 1-3.

Second, Make sure you are dancing with rise and fall. As you take your forward step on count one, you should be lowering and then on counts 2&3 rise slowly. That gives the lady the signal to develope.

Third, make sure your dance frame remains sturdy and held in proper position throughout.

  • Hey great video. One suggestion. There should be a colour contrast between the mans trousers (and shoes) and the floor, which are both black. If you redo the video with the man in light coloured trousers and shoes we would be able to see the steps better.
