I guess I've played it quite a bit, it boils down to a little luck and some good equipment that will make all the difference. Once you get the upper tier armor (reduces damage a lot), and max out your health along with a nice weapon, you'll be just fine. Just keep at it and set little goals at a time (like getting another heart, getting certain ore, etc)!

SunFury flail is a drop from the burrowing bone monsters that are in the Underworld. Lightsabers are a good midgame weapon, and they make the cool lighsaber sound effects when you swing them.
