Lucy Stewart
Traditional Singer from Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Vol. 1 - Child Ballads
Child Ballad #233

This ballad supposedly tells a true story with Annie being buried at a churchyard in Fyvie in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

Lucy Stewart of Fetterangus, Aberdeenshire was one of Scotland's most influential "source singers. " Her renditions of traditional Scots songs and ballads helped fuel a renaissance of interest in Scottish music that began in the 1960s and continues to grow.
