How much time did you spent experiencing and working with Maya before making this animation? Cuz, Jesus Christ this is surprisingly awesome for a beginner. I'm mostly talking about the lighting and the fluidity of the animation and also the texture at some places in the pinball machine. I know that for some persons, working with Maya is a piece of cake, even from the beginning and I want to know if you're one of those person or did you work hardly before getting to this result. Great work!

Thanks for the compliment! This bit took me a few months off-and-on. I have some really early animatics and concept drawings from the project I may post at point. If there's any fluidity it's due to years of 2D animation experience for broadcast and commercials (Flame and After Effects.)
Maya has not come easily to me. I'm starting to work harder on learning MEL and Python now.
Glad you enjoyed this. Keep studying! Everyone's a beginner at the start.
