Nice vid. I'm debating weather I want to get a 2.5hp or a 3.5hp for my 12ft fiberglass Jon boat this 2.5 looks like it pushes that really good,BUT I think the 3.5 will be better because I'll have a hevy wood deke up front and gear. But I'll see what happens.

Have a brand new Mercury 2.5 4 stroke outboard. It won't run for very long. Have it on a 15ft Sailboat and after it has run for about 20 mins and stopped, it won't start again. We have run into jetty's trying to get the damn thing started. It has started a total of 3 times since we got it two months ago.

I Have a Mercury Black Max 150 and it pushes me at 64mph...

yeah but i have been having some issues with the motor... but it still gets the job done. just has a mind of its own. some days it likes to idle and some days it dosent. and some days i will be scooting along and it will just cut off on me. but most of the time it does well for me. has not left me stranded so im happy. :-)

hey bassinflorida i have this boat now and it definitely will go the speed he says. it goes faster with me on it because im lighter. the mercury 2.5 has a lot of torque.

You liking the boat? I actually miss that little thing, it was easy to use and got me in the spots my bigger boat wont let me get into! Good luck this spring!
