Aw mine does that too! And he does it very funny, just that i need to wait for him to begin so i can we can start to immitate each other
-
my bird just did this just now and i though it had trouble yawning so i checked in the internet it was just pushing food down its tummy
-
He's clearing/adjusting his crop. It pushes the food further down to mix with digestive enzymes.
-
i thought my bird was chocking on a sead the first time than reallised everytime sombody yawned he would do the same thing yours does.
-
my bird does this for fun all the time when i yawn to. . . and on top of that, i took him for his monthly check up, and he was fine
-
There intelligence will shock you. They are extremely smart birds.

I'm not sure that's yawning...I think he's trying to clear his throat of something.
Not a yawn. Get your bird to a vet. Crop, ear and throat issues. Been there

@petes0104 Not in this case. It was a mere case of a pet copying its owner! Note he is opening his eyes to spot me yawning (listen carefully and you can hear me setting him off!) As soon as I stopped, so did he. My pair are in perfect health.
