Issue Zero Magazine covers the CALM protest at the corner of Yonge st and College st in Toronto. On March 21st 2010, plain clothes police officers raided Cannabis As Living Medicine, a cannabis club that provides medicinal marijuana to cancer patients and other sick individuals, arresting patients that are legally allowed to posses marijuana. They say you need a permit, but Health Canada doesn't give out permits to compassion clubs such as CALM, even thought the courts support this type of organization and have called Health Canada's policy a violation of human rights. Patients have to wait for 16 weeks to get their cannabis directly from Health Canada, even though a lot of them don't have that long to live.
