Actually auld lang syne was written Before Robert Burns.. he re worked it a bit. so it actually PREDATES 1788 as the writer below states..

Actually, it is not the Dutch national anthem, the Wilhelmus has a completely different melody. Also, Auld Lang Syne was written in 1788, well before the Dutch wrote an adaptation of it which is now a soccer song. Get your facts straight before posting a dumb comment.

its the english version .. not a scotish accent .. it should be pronounced .. well tak (rhymes with yak) a cup o happiness for auld land syne.. they have fucked up one of our blood songs.
