  • @EmilyGreene1984, He made pretty good sense to me. It's not that he believed in nothing, he just didn't believe in God. There was much more to Hitchens than just his atheism. I actually disagreed with him on a lot of issues, but when it came to his non belief in a supernatural, supreme being who created and is in control of EVERYTHING, well, I think he was absolutely correct.

  • @MHend47, Faith in a fantasy creator/savior is completely ILLOGICAL. There are no facts and no evidence that is not completely made up and created by man. Religion is nothing more than primitive superstition.

  • I like how atheists promote peace and harmony and tell everyone to get along, except they go and do the very opposite, lol.

  • @keenan201 Facepalm.

  • Religion kills more people than anything

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN I'm not running down this rabbit trail. God created everything, then He sent his son who thousands witnessed to die for mankind, the he sent the holy spirit when Jesus returned to heaven so he could be with every christian on earth. God isn't meant to be seen. The whole New Testament is built upon faith. You either have it or you don't. However, God works miracles in our lives to build our faith and gives us testimonies to share with others.

  • So let me get this straight.....when a wave of credulity comes to the name of Christ, ALL-OF-A-SUDDEN! WE HAVE THIS!!

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN 1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN The system is.,....perfectly "defect"

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN

The Judeo Christian tradition does not posit that God controls everything. It claims that God controls everything BUT the free will of beings he himself made capable of.

God is innocent of the evil which comes from rejecting him, as not all people are guilty of murder simply because they are capable of it. Only those who choose to murder are responsible. That's the backbone of this religious tradition.

Whether or not it is true is another matter.
