On Sept. 29, 2009, Rep. Dan Burton (R-IN-05) was interviewed on Fox Business News about why he is opposed to the Democrat-proposed "public option," or government-run health care, plan.
Look how bad the public option has worked out in the educational system! Maybe we should let insurance companies or private corporations be responsible for educating children.
And if you can't afford a private education, you pay a fine.
Also as for one part of Obama's "public option", he did not tell the truth when he said (on 9/8/09) his "public option" would not use tax money to fund abortion in his vision of health care "reform". His words contradict what he promised as a presidential candidate. (YouTube: "Obama promises abortion in public plan".) Please look beyond Obama's platitudes and pay attention to his political agenda for his version of health care "reform".
