The reason most drummers turn china cymbals upside down is so that the end is go down toward the ground rather than toward the stick, You never what to hit with a rem of a cymbal going up toward where the stick is getting it's momentum and going down, if so you take a great rick of cracking a cymbal, but that like most other thing in drumming is just preferance. XP lol
