Although the GDP per capita of the US is roughly seven times as great as it is in China, technology workers are paid roughly about the same amount of money. You can go to Dice dot com or monster and find many similar jobs paying roughly the same wage in China as they pay in the US. For her to say that technology workers are paid 10-20 times less in China is absurd and shows that she has no regard for any kind of rubric or metric.

@Spunkenfly "Chinese GDP per capita = $7,600"
==
US GDP per capita $47,200
1) That's advertised salary to attract more applicants. It doesn't guarantee that's what they'll pay.
2) You don't know how much employee gets paid on the same job in US.
Any publicly researched data instead of randomly picked numbers that not comparing to anything?
You can mix and match any numbers you can find on the net for your purpose. that's not study.

Saying that Chinese scientists and technology workers are paid 10-20 times less than American or western scientists is just absurd. The average Chinese citizen makes 7,600. Some American engineers, programmers, and teachers are going to China because they can find better paying jobs.
Please make your points with real world examples and not utter nonsense.

@kcdshg How do i exaplain this, i never ment that I don't think it's unfair - and i didn't actually mean i DON'T want to change how i live, rather "but it's so nice - i don't wannaaa" you kno? :P And it doesn't take an enormous brain to figure out that this planet can't let everyone have as much as here, so in order for them to be richer we'd have to get poorer :(

Okay, this chick has some great points and I love listening to her views. SHe really needs to learn how to fucking swallow her spit more though! Every 10 seconds she's practically drowning herself in saliva which in turn makes me want to drown myself in my own vomit every time I hear her swap her spit around as she swallows. ( -_-)
