http://www.tvtrade.ie/alltrade-tv-aerial-and-satellite-combiner.html Satellite / TV combiner is used when you have a single cable in the wall but want to run down both satellite and terrestrial tv.
This can be achieved by using satellite and tv combiners to join the signal together and using either another combiner (in reverse) or a faceplate to split the signal out.

  • hi dave. have erected my dish and new digi aerial for rte etc. used a splitter to jhoin both into one cable to go through my wall. do i need another splitter inside to connect to my ariva 120 or can i recieve both signals with one cable. ur videos are simply excellent. thanx leitrimcousin

  • @leitrimcousin you only need the one cable but you do need the combine on both ends. ie... takes sat & aerial feeds into combiner, run down through the one cable and at the end you need to break apart again using another combiner in reverse so that you have the sat feed and the aerial feed seperate when going into back of combo box. The other alternative at the box end is to use a Wolsey TV Aerial and Satellite Wall Plate which does the same job as the combiner only neater.

  • Hi dave is the cable between the two diplexers just standard satellite cable or is it a special type of cable?

  • @orbitaaltube no, just ordinary rg6 satellite cable

  • Dave i have used the combiner in reverse, it going through a single coaxial wall plate, i have to try getting an Wolsey TV Aerial and Satellite Wall Plate to see if that will solve the problem. thanks Dave for getting to me again

  • @pdevaney1 have you used another combiner in reverse on the other end aswell? you need to break apart the signal before it goes into the combo receiver. You could also use the wolsey wall plate on our site for this purpose too.
