great video. Seems like a good unit. Keep up the good work!

Nice video. This unit seems like it has really cool navigation features. Thanks for making a video to show this. Do you have any other videos?

Bought it and seriously regret it. Product is awful:
1. Even with Nov 2010 map update, the Navteq map software is easily two years out of date.
2. GPS implementation is not on par with a $100 Garmin. Example: Start navigating from a parking lot and the JVC doesn't tell you whether you should turn left or right out of the driveway.
3. iPod integration is TERRIBLE! Impossibly slow to use. Select an artist and then you wait 7-10 seconds for screen to react.

@sethowilde hey seth quick question how is it for playin music i have an external harddrive tht holds about 1.5tb ive set it up as a fat32 using a program just wondered if the device has a search tool and how long it would take to load all the fiels of the hdd i hav about 320gb of music so a search tool would be needed if it doesn't is their any double din device ud recommend i heard the avic x920bt has a search tool but is tht only for the ipod
I like the JVC for the SD card slot option since there is no internal hard drive, but the detachable face plate doesn't sound like it will make a nice flush close to factory fit since it requires more dept. The Kenwood DNX8120 is quite a bit more, but it has a 2yr. warranty along with ipod and bluetooth. The SD slot on the Kenwood DNX8120 is for downloading maps only I think? I wonder if all of the upcoming new models from most manufacturers will have detachable faceplates.

That is a good question. Very few Double DIN units have a detachable faceplate at the moment. I am sure you can count on more manufacturers doing this to their units, but i would say that all in-dashes are going to. All of us here at Sonic Electronix are on the look out for more of these units... They are really cool.
