This film was a U.S. Air Force promotional film made in the late 1980s. It depicts Air Force Basic Military Training at that time. This film is sure to bring back many memories for those who went through BMTS at Lackland Air Force Base during this time frame.

  • I recently heard from a retired TI who is actually in this promotional video. He told me that what you see in the video was actually "Staged".... and the main character in the video was actually an actor, and NOT a real Air Force recruit. As a retired Air Force Master Sergeant who actually attended BMTS during this time, I can actually say that what you see in this video is a "Sanitized" version of BMTS during that time. For me personnaly, it was hell. But I survived BMTS and it matured me.

  • Weird how time has gone by too fast. Everything that happens to you is so surreal. Then you come to tech school and things are more relaxed. Then you finally get to your base. Ill never forget my base sponser. I kept calling him sir. He said " you call me sir again im going to kick your ass--he was joking but it was a whole new world. Independance, responsibility, your own money, car--it was a whole new life all together. I wouldnt trade it for anything.
