  • they're singing about mickey hart's dad. he was their manager in 1971, and

took off with a bunch of their money. it sent mickey into a depression and caused him

to leave the band for three years. thus the line: 'steal your face right off your head.'

  • nothin left to do but....... smile smile smile

see all

  • LOVIN BRENT WITH LONG HAIR!!

  • i'd be god damned if Phil ever held a note for more than 1 second lol

  • @notmefuckingname from reading his book 'planet drum'.

  • @sweetpeajunglebean how do u know this?

  • @thecasen1 Yeah Mickey's last show (at the time) was Feb 18 1971 at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester. Three From the Vault is from the next night, the 19th. When I first heard 3 F the Vault I thought it was Mickey's last show but as a drummer I realized quickly this was solo Billy which I love. 3 from the Vault has that signature 71 sound like off Skull & Roses but with so many new (at the time) songs that are still in their infancy.

  • Played so well

  • wow just listen to those harmonies

  • @sweetpeajunglebean is that why he left the band

  • phil looks stupid high

  • @penningtonant- life is for learning
