Since I'm doing it at home and not taking it at the shop I'm glad that they're using tools that almost everyone has already. I'm sure there's a better way to do it maybe you could make a video of it :D?

  • Never trust a mechanic with a claw hammer.

  • thank you for the video, very useful.

  • i have a 91 eagle talon(non turbo ) and i changed the pads but my rotor was stuck on...went to auto store and they lent me a tool to remove it but it wouldnt budge...one thing i didnt do was take the cap off from the brake fluid (does that matter? i hit the hell out of it with my hammer and it wouldnt budge but i didnt hit around the the middle there...so i'll try it again

  • YOu can use to screw to push the disc out too...

  • just use a rubber mallet or a wood block

  • dude youre awesome bro.. I was unalbe to get mine off and I was here jerking the darn thing for about an hour... and after about 3 minutes of tapping the rotor it came off... thanks man your video helped a lot

  • Great simple video!

5 stars for you my friend.

  • im doing a brake job on a 94 plym acclaim the pads need to be replaced. now the rotors might need to be not sure yet. why does it say this when i looked up the rotors. (Rotor only May have non-reusable spindle nut, may require replacing when servicing rotor). y would i need to replace the spindle nut. doesnt the rotor just come off i never had to do this on any other car i worked on. rotor just came off ,or does it have to be done on these types of vehicles

  • for that car get the aftermarket slotted rotors of the same diamiter you have installed. Brembos are a little bit in the expensive area so check out something in the JC Whitney catalog. Whatever you do dont get cross drilled the can crack under heavy breaking and the slots do the same thing as the holes they prevent brake fade
