My rendition of "I Believe". Poverty is still a huge problem in our world. It doesn't have to be. It is not an incurable disease. It doesn't take much to make a HUGE difference. We can do it. Join as ONE.

Third verse (written by me):

People across the globe are dying every day
Just because they have no food to eat or a bed for them to lay
now somethings wrong when we're drivin' in fast cars and we have no change to give
even a dollar here, a dollar there can help someone live

  • Question - who wrote the change in he lyrics - it is very good --- but changes the meaning of the song from the original version. There is also now a church verison if you google church version. I suppose anyone can write their own lyrics --- I believe God is the Answer or Jesus or Love --- someone called me a hippy when I said that though.

  • in the description, i explain that I wrote the third verse. I changed the lyrics because the third verse in the original version talks about being a "black man from the street" and having a white g/f and dealing with that issue. obviously i cannot relate to that, but i still love the song. so, i wrote a new verse to make it relevant to today's problems.

  • wow dude... this is amazing! u even changed some of the lyrics.. u didnt put the lisa thingy.. well obviously u r not a black guy.. :P just jokin dude.. JOB WELL DONE! ;P

  • yes, its true, I am not a black man which is why I decided to change it a bit. I try to sing songs that I can relate to. This song, when it came out, was dealing with racial issues because they were relevant. Obviously times have changed and I chose something a little more applicable to today. Thanks so much for listening and the amazing comment!

  • whats the chords? Would love to try this song out. Thanks.

  • Looks like I played capo 4 with standard tuning and these chords in this order:

    Em D/F# Cadd9 G

It's really really simple to play. Nothing you see me play is difficult because I am no guitarist. Thanks for your comment!
