Driving from Bethel to Akiak, Alaska on the Kuskokwim River, also known as the "Ice Road". Because there are no roads connecting any of the villages of western Alaska, all travel is done either by small airplane or on the river. In the summer, primary travel is by boat, but in the winter...you wait for the river to freeze up and that becomes the way to get around. Music is by Michael Faubian (we work with him, but is music is on CDBaby.com). Hope you enjoy. If you want to buy some of Michael's music, you can go to http://www.cdbaby.com/faubion to find it.
We hope you enjoy!

I enjoied seeing the video. My ex husband and I taught in Tuluksak in 98/90. I remember taking the "ice road" to Bethel. I hadn't been out the the village in months... That hamburger I ate that day was the best ever.

I don't know why my first comment didn't stick. Glad to see that the Jeep is still running great up there...at least you don't have to go out on the ice road in a car. How many people have you had to pull out with the Jeep up there?
