LISTER PETTER Theta 90 Engine. It has a tunnel bored crankcase. Off-highway engines must be able to operate at extreme angles for about 30 seconds This engine can do it for about 5 minutes. It is simply a matter of good crankcase/design.

People cannot belive that our Alpha engtines are fully emission complaint without ANY electronic controls.

the engine oil will all roll to the front of the engine and not into the oil pump to keep the bearings lubricated. That's a great way to ruin an engine.

Fortunately your comments are wrong.

They are 100% correct about all other makes of engine, but the Theta 90 and the Theta 86 can operated at extreme angles for long periods (e.g. 5 minutes) without any harm. The engine note does not even change in this demonstration.

I used to wrench on Lister-Petter diesels, "in a previous life", so to speak. These were mostly S and H range units in stationary power applications. 15,000 hours on the top end, and 50,000+ hours on a bottom end was not unusual.  Toughest, most durable I/C engines ever manufactured.
