What a heart warming story. Im a strong believer that children and their pets can form very strong bonds. Although Ive had cats all my life and loved everyone of them, there is something unique about the Birman breed who are loyal & social cats who do form strong attachments to their owner. Having had a Birman (a blue point like Jessi is), who unfortunately died before his time, makes you realise just how special this particular breed is. Go Jessi & Lorcan - good luck :)
