Spook Bridge - Quitman and Valdosta

My friend (seen in film) and I went to spook bridge (Quitman & Valdosta) on a rainy sunday afternoon and hiked with a retired deputy sheriff and his lovely wife. Beautiful area. Please keep it clean.

Coming from Quitman, turn right on Ousley Rd off of HWY 84/Thomasville RD/HWY221/HWY 38. Then, take an immediate right on the first available paved road. Drive until the road isn't paved and there will be an entrance that's closed off with a private property sign and pretty overgrown with grass. You'll have to park and get out of your car and walk about a mile to the first bridge. I suggest going at daytime and going with at least one other person.

aint the bridge patrolled by Law Enforcement or County Police for any trespassers?

It is at night and especially on weekends. Neighboring families have no problem with people walking around quietly on the bridge during the day, but they're not too fond of trouble makers during the night hours (who would be?). People aren't supposed to trespass; however, the property isn't entirely private property. Coming in from the Lowndes side is more dangerous but less likley to bother locals. It's best to get permission to visit the area first.

and people say its spooky... theres nothing at that bridge.. it just a lot of stuff where "KKK" wrote racism stuff.. and the people who worship the devil wrote things too.. i must say i was scared at first..but now its nothing.you just gotta watch out for the deers,bears and snakes... other than that aint nothing wrong with it

this bridge aint just a bridge.. so much stuff happen on this bridge. with that said.. the "KKK" use to be back there on the same road.. nd people that worship the devil was back there.. this man body was found back there.. and 7 people was drowned in that river..

I tried to visit this place tonight, but cops were parked at the dead end and not letting anyone through, so I assume it is indeed private property. I had planned to stay the night or a few hours just to see what went on.
