  • Is there any way of waterproofing the webbing?

I've heard that the material on these gets really heavy when it is wet and takes ages to dry

    thanks

  • @rulyg94 I sprayed Silicone Waterguard (available @ Walmart) on everything. It didn't change the color at all. Check out my upgrades video for adding camoflauge

  • Is that Eagle Creek Pack-it-Sack military issue :P?

  • I have no idea what you are referring to...

  • I was referring to the thing at 4:05. Obviously it's not what I though.

  • not military issue-its waterproof tho

  • the brits make good webbing for sure. i use the pat.58 myself. they are awsome. but i ditched the backpack, buttpack and bedroll on mine. the belt, pouches, and suspenders are exelent though.

  • I have been thinking of buying of these, I'm a big guy, how long are the shoulder straps on this LBE.

  • It's '58 pattern webbing not m58. It's British not American you idiot.

  • dont get this wet it tends to shrink after a bad soaking.

  • holy shit i had this weebing when i was young, old school but its good to see someone using it still especially in america : )

  • worst kit ever !! dont get it wet it takes weeks to dry ..... 1958 issue gear and it shows . not a pach on plce gear !

  • they are a very good system and can be kept water proof with linseed oil , i had a kabar on the left suspender in a friction fit sheath for easy access , poncho roll moved above kidney's as it gets in the way when running dangling down , two 58 water bottles one steel mug for boiling water in . the reason i had two bottles is the body needs two litres of water per day , and water is absolutely important , be ok for what you want though , good film . they shouldnt be any space left on the belt .
