@andremazetto you're right. I didn't say to do that but you might can tell I dried my hand on my pants. The small concentration left on your hands isn't really enough to catch fire when the string has such a high concentration.

@flamingarc the bottle is going to break where you put the string. If your string isn't straight then your cut won't be straight. But that can also be a good thing if you are wanting a curved top. As far as shattering, that has to do with the thickness of the bottle. A thicker bottle will break off more cleanly and a thinner bottle will be more susceptible to cracking. Just keep trying different bottles. Also, the longer it burns, the better. So use a well soaked string.

@mamertomiclat06 haha the edges aren't sharp because the glass is really thick. It's like a blunt edge. Most people use them as a flower vase but I didn't have any flowers. Sanding the edges is always an option.
