This shows how any bonehead can post anything they want (whether it's true or not) on any website. The narrator said nothing about a representative democracy (what the US is) vs a true democracy. In a true democracy, the people would vote on every single thing themselves thus leading to the chaos and fractions that Madison spoke of. A Republic is a state where the leader is elected but not necessarily by the people. It could be by a chosen body without the people's consent.

@fargenacle: Don't forget Italy and Japan (both with Fascism/right wing rulers). They also wanted total government. In the end just like the video explained there is no difference between the right, left, anarchist, and democracy because they all end with total government. Our gov't both Demos and Repubs push democracy thru out the world, the worst we can heap upon any people because in reality, like the video explains, it does not work nor guarantee freedom.

@fargenacle: The so call right and left wing politicians have the same agenda, both want total goverment, they're coming to it from different directions. Hitler (right) and Stalin (left) = total government. That's why they were never were good allies because in the end only one can rule. They invaded Poland together as allies, the start of WW2. Hitler ended the alliance by invading Russia to eliminate his competitor in central Europe for total government.

The country doesn't have a uniform morality any longer, and the best for one isn't necessarily the best for another. It's an obvious and very serious problem. We have no categorical imperative or universal standard outside of the Constitution -- but when it comes down to it, that's only as good as the people who follow it, interpret it and understand it.
