Reminds me of Sega Dreamcast. It was amazing. Had online gaming capabilities, was released sometime between Nintendo 64 and Playstation; another words way before online gaming was introduced as most know it. Was also very expensive, and very little games when launched.
Which could be a downfall for this as well. It's expensive and it's only real "hook" is that you use your mind...but for what? Making an avatar emote? Playing some "made only for an Emotiv" game?
Dare I say, we expect more?

Yes it is real. You can purchase the headset for 299 dollars. Look it up its called emotiv epoc headset.
