  • @Ballermann2007 you cant aim your rifle at somebody its for safety just in case of something is inside the barrel and there is a flame that comes out of the barrel so its mostly for safety reasons

  • TO ALL RE ENACTORS REVELOUTIONARY- CIVIL WAR LISTEN UP. IMPORTANT! Want to know a trick? After you put your powder in use your ram rod to pack it down nice and hard. Makes a hell of a lotta noise then not packing it down. TRY IT!:D

  • @Ballermann2007 because peices of metal could shoot out and hit someone if you fired right at them, so the closer they are, the higher they have to elevate.

  • they have the american uniform all wrong.FIRST OF ALL NOT ALL OF THE AMERICANS HAD HATS.second of all we didnt have boots we had shoes and most of the time we didnt even have that

  • @dchris1990 ..their coats. You know why? well because when your looking out in the distance and viewing the Brits from afar and try counting how many is in a rank. The sun (if shining) will blur your vision and obscure your view or observation. I know because I watched a Documentary about the british Grenadiers and they were talking about their history and why they use red as their main color for their coats. Also a well dressed and well trained army will spread fear to provincial militia.

  • @dchris1990 actually the whole style of line fighting started with the introduction of the muskets. I believe it was the french who started this trend so the british followed then everyone else did too. I know it is very stupid but, from what i read line fighting was better for the europeans because it was a new type of fight.
